During his 2012 residency at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel dove into the archives of the spectacular garden that Isabella Stewart Gardner cultivated around her residence.

Othoniel studied the Museum and photographed the flowers that lay within the tapestries, architecture, furnishings and paintings on its walls. This volume presents his art-historical ABC of these flowers.
