"The Making of the Pre" is best described as a poetic manuscript in which Francis Ponge develops his poem "Le Pre" ("The Meadow"). Although the poem can be read independently of the journal, to read the two in conjunction is to experience the poem both as process and as product.
A touch of rubbing and chipping to  jacket, 1/2" closed tear to bottom left front. Otherwise a clean and crisp copy.
