"What I'm trying to do in this Growing Up Black portfolio of photographs is to represent my feeling and view of what growing up black can mean in expression, design, composition in the direction of the artist, the creator, and hope that those who have these pictures, these photographs at their disposal, can acquire some insight, intellect and creativity. Whether it be photography as an art form or photography as a means of furthering the betterment of the human condition. And I say to all the young and upcoming photographers, Make as many pictures, Take as many photographs, create as many images as you can  because someday, somebody is going to want them!"    - From the introductory statement

A beautiful example of a now quite scarce item
