THE BATTLEFIELD WHERE THE MOON SAYS I LOVE YOU by Frank Stanford
Lost Roads Publishers, 2000, First thus, 542 pp., 7" X 9", Softcover
Very good (Scuff to top of text block and some light handling - see photos))
he 15,283-line cult classic Battlefield stems from an earlier manuscript Stanford called Saint Francis and the Wolf. According to notations on papers found in Stanford’s archive, he started writing the poem when he was nine years old. Whether that is a fact or not remains to be proven. Though the copyright was registered in 1977, the volume was not released until after Stanford's death.
