NO.105 by Kenneth Goldsmith, SIGNED AND NUMBERED edition of 50 copies (ASSOCIATION COPY)

Beans Dear? Press, 1992, First edition of 50 numbered and signed copies, 10 pp., 4 1/4" X 5 1/2", Staple bound pages in glued heavy stock with vellum covers, as issued.

Very good with a strip of heavy tanning to front and rear parchment jacket.

Limited to 50 SIGNED & NUMBERED copies (this being #7/50) and additionally inscribed to Artist, Poet and publisher of Goldsmith's work Geoffrey Young.

In No.105 Goldsmith collects, in a travesty of the rhyming dictionary, a series of words and phrases ending with the "ee" sound and lists them in alphabetical order by syllable count. However, whereas a classical guidebook's diction is derived from the standard corpus, with No.105 Goldsmith collects the slang, the colloquialisms, and vulgarity of the late 20th century, as in "Frisbee, fuck me, funky, geegee, germ-free, goatee, gnarly!, grody!, Gucci, H.D." (1). This practice is continued with No.109 2.7.93- 12.15.93 (1993) where the same process is applied to words ending in the "schwa" sound (such as, "ar" and "ah").
