Near fine
Published by the relatively short-lived book imprint of Elein Fleiss and Olivier Zahm's Purple magazine on the occasion of the group show which Kim Gordon curated at Mu - De Witte Dame in Eindhoven, Netherlands in 2000. For the exhibition Gordon assembled an extended group of creative friends, colleagues and collaborators, working in a variety of disciplines and media. In this understated hardback is a sampling of their work–photography, drawings, poems, paintings, lyrics, essays, journal entries, and other multi-media work. Printed in monochromatic gray and dirty magenta hues, the book has a personal, circle of friends, art rock diary feel to it. Features work by Rita Ackermann, Sofia Coppola, Mark Gonzales, Kim Gordon, Spike Jonez, Mike Kelley, Richard Kern, Jutta Koether, Chan Marshall, Thurston Moore, Tony Ourseler, Raymond Pettibon and others. Also includes an audio CD insert with eleven tracks, each by participants in the exhibition.
