THE LIMITS OF ART edited by Huntington Cairns
Pantheon, 1966 Fifth printing, 1469pp., 6 1/2 X 9 1/4" Hardcover
Very good +
The Limits of Art is an anthology of works in western literature which competent critics have considered to touch, in one way or another, the limits of art: that is to say, selections of prose and poetry that have been pronounced as "perfect".
The real interest for us lies in the fact that this copy was issued with the ultra rare "variant" dust jacket designed by graphic designer Paul Rand.
