Matrix Publications, 1980, First edition, 150 pp., 14 1/2" X 14 1/2", Hardcover in slipcase

Very good + with a touch of sunning to spine which is typical of this volume. (Inscribed by Callahan to his photography dealer Lee Witkin.)

A beautifully printed surprising selection of Callahan's most interesting color work.

This copy is inscribed by Callahan to pioneering photography dealer Lee Witkin. (Who represented Callahan from the early 1970’s through the 1990’s.)

Lee Witkin was a pioneer in the world of photography and is credited with the launching of photography to public consciousness and collector interest. In 1969 he opened the first commercial gallery of photography and broke ground for the diverse scene that is photography today.  His importance in the field cannot be overestimated.

An extremely rare and noteworthy association copy.
